FARMINGDALE - Patricia Anne Richardson, 88, of Farmingdale, known affectionately as Patty, passed away on Monday, February 2, 2026, at the Alfond Center for Health, in Augusta.
She was born in Gardiner, on June 5, 1937, the daughter of Merle, Sr. and Mildred (Dow) Peacock. Patricia was a beloved wife, a passionate craftswoman, and a dedicated cook in public education before her retirement.
Patricia's heart was always with her family, but her hands were rarely still. She found joy in the creation of beautiful things, whether through painting, woodworking, knitting, or crocheting. Yet her love for crafts was rivaled only by her love for the great outdoors. Patricia cherished the Maine North Woods, spending countless summers managing Sunset View Campground alongside Terry Hunter. She loved to canoe and camp under the stars, and she carried her love of nature with her even in the winter months, when she and her husband, David Richardson, would flee the Maine cold for the warmth of Florida.
Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, Merle Sr. and Mildred Peacock.
Brothers' Merle Peacock Jr., James Peacock, and Bobby Peacock.
She is survived by her loving husband, David Richardson. Two children Dana Richardson and wife Merry of the Philippine's, daughter Denise Richardson of Augusta. Many cousins, nephews and nieces. Two nieces in particular that really meant a lot to her are Karen Billups and Donna Mathias, who held special places in her heart. Also, Terry Hunter is her lifelong best friend who meant the world to her. She also has many good friends from her years vacationing in Florida.
The loss of Patricia is felt deeply by all who knew her, but her spirit lives on in the countless lives she touched and the beautiful creations she left behind.
