LITCHFILED - Paul Joseph Wiers, born on May 23, 1959, in Portland, Maine, passed on Thursday, December 11, 2025, at home with lived ones by his side at the age of 66. A dedicated son, husband, and employee, Paul was a pillar of his community in Litchfield, Maine, where he resided. From a young age, Paul exhibited a remarkable dedication to work, a trait that saw him through an extensive and varied career. He was a driver by trade and had worked for several esteemed businesses including Pine Land, Maine Line Bus, Custom Coach, Cyr Bus line, Northeast Charter Bus, RSU4, Hammond Lumber, Home Depot, and Tambrands. His favorite routes were those that brought him to Canada and New York, where he took great joy in the picturesque landscapes. Upon retirement, Paul continued to stay active, spending his free time tending to his yard, a hobby that brought him great joy and satisfaction. Paul is survived by his loving wife, Deborah Wiers; three brothers Peter Wiers, Payson Wiers and wife Susan, and Perry Picard; one sister Joyce Brady and husband Mike; daughter Jeanne Chouinard and her husband and daughter; four step children Jessica Leeman Boyd, Michael Carver and girlfriend Kristen, Krysta, Nathanial Jared and girlfriend Nikki, Justin Hart and wife Jade and their daughters Jasmine , Ayesya Hart and wife Rosie and their daughter Katie; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, George Wiers, and his mother, Jacqueline Picard; grandparents Alvena and George Wiers, Sr., and a sister Jolene Darling and husband Paul. Paul was a cherished member of his family and will be deeply missed, but his memory will live on through the hearts of those who knew him.
