It is with profound love and respect that we celebrate the extraordinary life of Richard Garrett Cutler, born on the 12th of November, 1934, in Litchfield, Maine. Richard, a loving father and a talented carpenter, was a pillar of strength and resilience to all who knew him. His adventurous spirit shone through his passion for the great outdoors. With the heart of a true explorer, Richard cherished his time spent hunting and fishing, drawing strength and peace from nature's beauty.
Richard's life was a testament to the words of Henry David Thoreau: "It's not what you look at that matters, it's what you see." An accomplished craftsman, he dedicated many years to General Dynamic Bath Iron Works, leaving a lasting impact with his skill and dedication. Richard's resilience was mirrored in his work, each piece a testament to his indomitable spirit. He is survived by his devoted daughter, Angela Tracy, and his sons, Troy Cutler and Jay Buotte. He was predeceased by his son, Rick Buotte, as well as his parents, Roy and Louise Cutler.
Richard's legacy lives on in the hearts of those who loved him. His service will be held on Monday, July 17th, at the Maine Veteran's Cemetery.
