RANDOLPH; Richard Lawrence (Dick) Mansir Sr., 83, died at his home on July 15, 2021.
He was born in Gardiner on January 24, 1938, the son of Lawrence and Dorothy (Dow) Mansir.
He lived in the Gardiner/Randolph area all of his life. After graduating from Gardiner High School he served in the Air Force for 3 years. In 1964 he was honorably discharged and started working for Russ Williams Oil in Gardiner for the next 40 plus years until he retired. His love of driving landed him a job driving for O'Connors until he was 78.
In his younger years he enjoyed candlepin bowling, camping with his family, and going on road trips. When his grandson was old enough to walk he enjoyed going for walks with him. Later he enjoyed going to the auto races, watching sports on tv, and sitting on the front porch counting cars going by. He also enjoyed going out to eat; his favorite was going to Roy's for breakfast, where he loved to tease the waitresses. The last few months he enjoyed spending time with his sisters Barb, Phylis, Donna, and Diane. He also loved spoiling his dogs and grand-dogs; he loved all animals.
He is survived by his wife Harriett (Campbell) of 57 years; a son Richard (Rick) Jr. of Randolph, and a daughter Lana and her husband Todd Parker of N. Monmouth; a grandson Nathan Mansir and two great granddaughters Leannah and Trinity whom he adored; six sister's Pamela, Diane, Barbara, Linda, Donna and her husband Sonny, Phylis and her husband Don. He was predeceased by his sister Shirley.
