Robert
Arsenault
Nov 15, 1950 — Sep 20, 2014
Bangor-Robert Addis Arsenault, or Bob as known by his family, and friends, was a wonderful father, husband, and grandfather. He had a tender heart, and a soft touch. His love of trains, light houses, building, and photography was a perfect fit for his time served in the United States Navy, and as a head loader in the finishing room of The Great Northern Paper mill while calling Maine his home. Though long hours at the mill dominated his workweek, looking back, his fondness for picnics and travel meant more than a simple day trip; those experiences imparted in us a sense of wonder. One does not need the riches of kings to live like one, and he enjoyed his life to the fullest. Eventually retiring in Bangor, Maine with his wife, mother-in-law, and two overfed felines, he settled into the role of Grandpa, making trips to Portland and New York to see his children, and grandchildren. His bout with cancer would take him away from his loved ones well before his time, but he lived life on his terms. During his final days Bob was surrounded by his wife Sandy, daughters Tracy and Holly, son in laws Rick and Billy, granddaughters Cassidy, Isabelle, and Evangeline, and close friends Ronald and Pam Martin.
