RANDOLPH – Robert Willis Foster, Jr., 62 of Randolph, died Sunday, July 28, 2024, at home with his wife by his side. Born in Portland, Maine on May 12, 1962, the son of Robert Willis Foster, Sr. and Clareece Evelyn (Guptill) Foster. Bob grew up in Meriden, Connecticut. He graduated from Wilcox Technical School where he developed a love for the Machinist trade. Bob proudly served in the Navy from 1979-1983, where he continued to develop his skills as a Machinist. Throughout the remainder of his career, Bob worked at various machine shops, with his longest tenure at Kennebec Technologies in Augusta as a CNC Machinist for 16 years. As a proud veteran, Bob was an active member of the American Legion Post 4 Gardiner, American Legion Riders Chapter 4 Gardiner, Gardiner Elks Lodge 1293 and Gardiner Eagles Aries 4330. Bob had a passion for Harley's and enjoyed riding with his friends. Bob was a diehard Jets fan and avid Republican who was always up for a friendly political debate. To know Bob, was to love Bob, as he could never have to many friends. He was predeceased by his parents; step-mother Marlene Foster, two sisters Leeanne Foster and Leslynn Maniscalco, two step siblings, Mary Anne Spencer and Ralph Spencer and his beloved cat Smoky. Bob is survived by his wife Peggy Harrington, of Randolph; his many adoring sisters, Loleeta Foster, Luranna Foster, Lynette Foster, Robbin Foster, Lawseen Manna, Suzanne Foster, his stepsisters, Betty Anne Spencer, Anna Spencer and Luanne Smith, two stepdaughters, Amanda Larrabee and Katie Cunningham step grandson Bradley Gowell, the absolute apple of his eye, his daughter, Shenee Foster and not to be forgotten, his fur babies, Annie and Bear, who he adored. Bob's military committal service will be held at 10 am on Thursday, August 8, 2024, at the Maine Veteran's Memorial Cemetery (OLD) Committal Shelter, 143 Blue Star Avenue, Augusta, Maine. Celebration of Life to be held immediately following the service at the American Legion Post 4 Gardiner, Maine.
