AUGUSTA - Robert L. Morrison, born on October 24, 1948, in Gardiner, Maine, passed away on November 27, 2024, at the age of 76. Known for his compassionate nature and loyal spirit, Robert spent his life making a difference in the lives of those he loved. He was a lifelong resident of Augusta, Maine, and dedicated many years of service as a custodian for the State of Maine before retiring. Despite the demands of his job, Robert found the time to enjoy his favorite pastime, walking miles, which he did with enthusiasm and joy. Robert was a man that cherished family above all else. His love and devotion to his family were evident in the way he lived his life. He is survived by his son, Scott Morrison, and his partner, Cathy Perkins. He also leaves behind his sister, Cheryl Pollis and his nephews, Steven (Debbie) McGee, Jeff (Cindy) Pinkham, and Scott (Lisa) McGee, as well as his niece, Wendy (Pete) McKinnon. Robert's life touched many, and he will be dearly missed by everyone who knew him. Robert was predeceased by his parents, Charles Morrison, Sr. and Shirley Morrison, his son Robert Morrison, and his siblings, Charles Jr., Barbara McGee, Beverly Martin, Shirley Pinkham, Irene Sands, and infant brother Frank Sandville. His memory will live on, not only in the hearts of his family but also in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him. A committal service for Robert will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, December 5, 2024, at the Fairbanks Cemetery in West Gardiner, Maine.
