WEST GARDINER – Ronald Norris Grant, 69, of West Gardiner, Maine passed away on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at MaineGeneral Medical Center in Augusta.

He was born on January 7, 1957, in Gardiner, Maine. He grew up in Farmingdale and attended Hall-Dale High School.

Ronald worked for 22 years for Maine Drilling and Blasting as a blaster, and he truly loved his work.

Ronald was a devoted father; grandfather and he was so happy to become a great grandfather to Louella. He found joy in family, friends, and in woodworking, specially building bird houses. He had a great talent for carpentry. In his younger years he loved hunting.

He was predeceased by his parents Russell, Sr. and Joanne Grant; two brothers Russell, Jr. and Richard Grant.

Ronald is survived by his loving daughter, Mindy Grant and partner Dylan Pomerleau; two sisters, Sharon Grant and partner Robert Patterson, and Susan Pickens and husband Jay; brother Reginald Grant and wife Brenda; two grandsons, Austin Norris Grant Arsenault and fiancé Samatha Emenick, and Tristin Witham and girlfriend Makenna Girouard; great granddaughter Louella Arsenault; and many more extended family and friends.

His visiting hours will be held Saturday, Augusta 8th, from 10:00 am – Noontime, at Staples Funeral Home, 53 Brunswick Avenue, Gardiner, Maine

Ronald will be remembered for his saying “IT’S A GOOD DAY FOR A NAP” Rest in Peace!
