Augusta- Ronald Hall, Sr 89, went to be with his Lord, Wednesday, August 2, 2023, at Maine General Medical Center.
He was born In Gardiner on May 14,1934. He was the son of James Hall and Eunice (Sutter) Hall.
He worked many jobs, shoe cutter, construction worker and a ship fitter at Bath Iron Works. He spent 9 years in the National Guard. When he was 39, he found the Lord Jesus Christ as his savior. Then at 47 he attended Faith School of Theology in Charlston, ME, where he graduated with a Ministerial Degree. He was active in ministry throughout his life. He spent time as a missionary in Nigeria, Africa teaching bible school. He and his wife, Carol ministered in local churches and many assisted living homes until he was 85. When he was shut in, he spent time sending encouraging messages on Facebook.
He is survived by his wife Carol of 28 years; a sister Marilyn, five daughters, Linda (Scott)Taylor, Nancy (Gary) LeClair, Janet (Tom) Roberts, Rhonda (Michael) Emmons, Bridget (Daryl)Mansir, a daughter in law Becky and a son James (Lisa) Hall along with 16 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his first wife Rita of 32 years, his son Robert and Ronald Hall Jr. His parents, two sisters Elaine and Joyce and a brother James Hall.
A celebration of life will be held at Calvary Four Square church on August 25th at 2:00 pm. A committal will follow at the Libby Hill Cemetery. Following the committal there will be a time of refreshment and fellowship in the church dining hall.
