Ronald (Tinker) Moore Augusta- Ronald (Tinker) Everet Moore, 80, passed on March 7, 2015 in Togus at the Veterans Hospital, with family at his side. He was born in Moscow on March 4, 1935, the son of Carroll (Tim) Moore and Jean Steeves Moore. He attended Bingham High School , completing his GED while in the US Navy, where he served from 1953 thru 1956, being in the Seabees in Davisville, Rhode Island, Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, French Morocco, North Africa and Argentia, Newfoundland. In 1957, Ron enlisted in the US Air Force, as an Electronics Technician, stationed at Nellis Air Force Base in Las Vagas, Neveda, until his honorable discharge in 1961. At that time he joined the US Border Patrol in Yuma, Arizona, then stationed at Wounded Knee, South Dakota, Minnesota, Jackman and Houlton, Maine. He retired in 2010 from Homeland Security in Brunswick, Georgia. Ron enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time at the family camp into Chase Stream, as well as his poetry and paintings of scenery and the old Bingham High School upon several requests. He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Wanda Tuttle Moore of Augusta, six children; Carroll Ashley Moore and wife Roanne of Caliente, Neveda, Rheajean Roberts and husband Kevin, Stacie Miller, Amy Roberts, Rusty Moore, and Jeanette Moore all of New Hampshire. He has ten grandchildren; Rheon, Sean, Ryan, Tiffany, Brittaney, Kayla, Karlie, Austin, Skylar and Chloe and 15 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his three sisters; Norma Stevens of Moscow, Ellen Morin of Waterville, and Linda Gero and husband Elwin of Augusta, and his two brothers; Keith Moore of Moscow and Bruce Moore and wife Deborah of Concord Township, by his brother in-laws and sister in-laws; Eric and Maureen Tuttle, Brian and Lisa Goggins, Arthur and Linda Day and a special brother in-law Aaron Tuttle, as well as by many cousins, nieces and nephews. Ron was predeceased by his parents; Carroll and Jean Moore, his sister Vivian Bean and her husband Bernard. The family would like to thank the staff at Togus, Doctors, Nurses, and Social Workers who gave Ron excellent care while there and a special thanks to the Nurses at the Togus Hospice Care Unit. At his request there will be no visitation or funeral service. Interment will be in the family lot at Union Cemetery in Moscow in the spring. Arrangements are under the care of Staples Funeral Home in Gardiner.
