Hallowell-Ruth Tyler Cusick, age 92 of Hillside Terrace passed away Friday June 18, 2021. She was born August 29, 1928 in Farmingdale, the daughter of Lewis and Laura Palmer Tyler. She attended Farmingdale schools, entering the workforce at a young age. She married RIchard Cusick in June of 1951 and raised a family of 2 boys in Farmingdale. After being a stay at home Mom, she entered the workforce as a food service worker at the Halldale Middle School; she loved the job and the kids. Ruth enjoyed cross-stitching, doing puzzles and painting. She was a member of St. Joseph Church and Sacred Heart Church. Her family, boys and her grandson were her life. She was loved by everyone who loved her. She predeceased by her husband RIchard, 2 brothers, and 2 sisters. She is survived by her 2 sons, Terrance and wife Carol of W.Gardiner and Timothy and his wife Thelma of Gardiner, grandson TImothy Cusick Jr., sister Margaret Greeley of Augusta, 3 step grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be Thursday, June 24, 2021 from 4PM to 6PM at Staples Funeral Home, 53 Brunswick Ave., Gardiner where a service will follow at 6PM. A reception immediately following the service will be held at the Gardiner Elks. Committal in Oak Grove Cemetery Gardiner will be Friday, June 25, 2021 at 9AM.
