WINTHROP-It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Samuel Alexander Barrows, age 29, on August 22, 2024, at the Alfond Center for Health in Augusta, ME surrounded by family.
Samuel, born to Charles Barrows and Angel (York) Palmer, was a beloved son, brother, father, and friend. He is survived by his father Charles, mother Angel, stepfather Thon Palmer, sister Santasia Marcoux, Sister Natasha Foster and her husband Jake Foster, Sister Cassie Weaver, Sister Sarah Barrows and boyfriend Joshua Stickney, as well as his four daughters, Charlie, Loreli, Jalynn, and Ava along with their mothers Lindsey St. Claire and Haley Clements. Samuel was also a cherished uncle to his nephews Mason, Matthew, Paxston and Daniel. Aunt Linda Mascal and her family along with many other aunts, uncles and cousins. Samuel also had a special bond with his faithful companion, his dog Hank.
Samuel was Predeceased by his grandparents Harold York Sr and Katherine Roderick, Naomi Buzzell, Charles Barrows Sr, Warren Sidelinger Sr. His uncle Harold York Jr. as well as his cousin Aundria St. Amand.
Samuel was known for his adventurous spirit and love of adrenaline. He had a passion for motorcycles, trucks, playing the guitar and enjoyed exploring new places with his lifelong best friends Craig Preo and Anthony Arbour.
Samuel who was also known as "Savage Sam" grew up in Windsor, ME and could always be found hanging with friends, riding his four wheeler or spending time at home with family. Samuel never met a stranger and was a friend to all. Heaven gained a man who impacted so many. His personality and smile in general are enough to leave so many broken hearts in his absence.
Samuel will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. May he rest in peace, forever remembered for his zest for life, crazy antics and the love he shared with those around him. Samuel will always be remembered as a man who had a big heart, a charming personality and the goofiest laugh.
A private celebration of life will be held for family and friends to honor and remember Samuel's remarkable life.
