West Gardiner- Sharon E. Geroux, of West Gardiner, passed away at her home on October 12, 2025, after a long battle with a serious health condition. Sharon was born in Augusta, Maine on October 30, 1960, to the late Victor H. Brown and the late Janice A. (Frost) Brown. She attended Gardiner Area High School and earned her GED. Sharon met the love of her life, Richard J. Geroux, in 1979 and they got married. She was predeceased by her husband in 2023.
Sharon loved to make gourmet jams, jellies, pickles and relishes and enjoyed going to various events to sell her home-made treats at her farm stand. She also loved to sew and quilt and even sold some of her wonderful creations. Sharon's favorite past time was cutting hair, which she did for decades out of her house under the name of Sharon's Elite Hair Works. She loved spending time with her grandsons and her great-grandson and spoke of them often. Sharon also enjoyed camping at the Abenaki Campground in Skowhegan and The Birches Campground in Litchfield, sitting around the campfire to relax and spend time with family and friends. Sharon had a heart of gold and always tried to help anyone in need.
Sharon is survived by her son Victor Geroux and his fiancé Susan Goggin of Gardiner, her daughter Victoria Geroux and boyfriend Charles Fling of West Gardiner, her grandson Jeff Abram of Livermore Falls, her grandson Tyrone Payne of West Gardiner, her grandson Jayden Geroux of Gardiner, and her great-grandson Kirin Payne of West Gardiner.
Please join us in remembrance of Sharon at a Celebration of Life on 11/15/2025 at 2:00 P.M. at the Rod and Gun Club, 300 Collins Mills Road, West Gardiner. Arrangements and guidance are in the care of Staples Funeral Home, 53 Brunswick Ave, Gardiner, ME.
In lieu of flowers, please either bring a homemade dish or dessert to the Celebration of Life or feel free to make a donation to help Sharon's family cover her final expenses.
