1963 – 2024 CHELSEA – Steven Eric Monroe, 60, of Chelsea, died Thursday, February 8th, 2024, at his home after a brief illness with his loved ones by his side. He was born in Augusta, Maine on March 7, 1963, the son of Francis and Dixie (Parlin) Monroe. Steve graduated from Gardiner High School in 1981 and has worked for Interstate Fire Protection for about 39 Years. He loved to go camping and four wheeling with his wife, kids and grandkids. He loved watching his grandkids play sports, and his daughter Nasya coach. Steve loved spending time with his friends and family. He was predeceased by his wife, Tina Monroe; daughter Corasan Marie Monroe; Father, Francis Monroe; and Mother, Dixie Landry. Steven is survived by two daughters Felicia Ward & Fiancé Nate Johnston, Nasya Monroe; four grandchildren Aidan & Dominic Ward, Riley & Jocelyn Johnston; brothers Eugene Monroe & Fiancé Mae Mayo & Timothy Monroe & Wife Martha, and sister Laurie Monroe; Sister-in-law Debby Campbellton & Husband Billy; Many Nieces and Nephews; Family Pets Lilly, Daisy, & Blaze. Steven's memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, February 17th, 2024, from 12-2 pm, with a service to follow, at Staples Funeral Home, 53 Brunswick Avenue, Gardiner. .
