AUGUSTA - Tammy Sue Hewins, 42, passed from complications of a rare brain disorder called MLD on Aug. 31, 2014. She was born in Farmington, Maine, on March 22, 1972, the daughter of Dennis and Sharon Hewins. She graduated from Hall-Dale High School and attended Husson College in Bangor, Maine. Tammy loved to shop and play Beano. She was known for her outgoing personality and laughter. She is survived by one son, Cameron, and one daughter, Elizabeth. She also leaves behind three brothers and their wives, Barry Allen and Aurelie, Stephen Allen and Tina, and Dennis Hewins Jr. and Melissa, plus nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one sister, Rhonda Allen. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date by family and friends.
