HALLOWELL – Vearn Henry Stone, Jr. 84, of Hallowell, died Tuesday, March 14, 2023, at the Alfond Center for Health, in Augusta. Born in Manchester, Vt. On February 10, 1939, the son of Vearn Henry Stone, Sr. and Shirley (Jones) Stone. Vearn joined the Army After Highschool where he proudly served our country in Vietnam, after returning home he worked for Statler Tissue Co. until the mill closed. He then worked for the Kennebec Journal until his retirement. In retirement Vearn enjoyed spending time with friends at the Eagles Club playing pool. He was predeceased by his parents. Vearn is survived by his ex-wife and longtime partner Cynthia Marr of Hallowell, His Daughter Sheena Moulton and her husband Glen of Augusta, his Son Vearn H. Stone, III. of Hallowell stepson Charles Doray and wife Katie of Salem, MA, Granddaughters Aislinn Cormier of Augusta and Ann-Marie Moulton of Pittston as well as many friends.
