Augusta- Virginia L. Adams, 81 of Augusta died the afternoon of August 23, 2024 at the Alfond Center for Health with her loving family by her side.
She was born in Augusta, Maine on November 27, 1942 the daughter of the late Vincent A. and Beverly M. (Palmer0 McFadden.
On April 6, 1963 she married Clifton Adams in Gardiner, Maine. They continued to live and raise their family in the Augusta/Gardiner area.
In her spare time Virginia enjoyed spending time with her family, whether it was going out to eat or a nice boat ride, she was always up for an adventure. She was a lifelong member of the Augusta Eagles and enjoyed nights out socializing and dancing. She was passionate about Elvis and had an extensive collection of Elvis memorabilia. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
Virginia was predeceased by her husband, Clifton L. Adams; a brother, Richard McFadden. She is survived by four children, Barbie Adams of Augusta, Clifton Adams and his wife Tina of Whitefield, Oscar Adams and his wife Jennifer of Augusta, Virginia Couture and her husband Joe of Farmingdale; nine grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; Several nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours celebrating Virginia’s life will be held on Tuesday, September 3, 2024 from 10:00am to 12:00pm at Staples Funeral Home, 53 Brunswick Ave, Gardiner, ME. A funeral service will follow in the chapel at 12:00pm followed by burial in Maple Grove Cemetery, Randolph, ME.
